Gramma's Jammas

Again this Christmas my four younger grands are getting fleece PJ's made by me!!  I purchased lap blankets for $1.99, and it takes two to make a nightgown or pajamas.  I did run into a problem with the plaid print, it was stamped on the fabric crooked.  The grandson who is getting the lounge pants is constantly on the move,
soooooo I'm hoping no one will notice if the plaids  don't quite line up.

I hope they will be cozy and warm in their beds while waiting for Santa !!!

Here's another trick I learned a long time ago.

Anytime I work with stretchy material, instead of hemming the bottom or sleeves, I stretch the material as far as I can, and use the zig-zag stitch.  My little girls love this frilly look!!!

And now that the little ladies are into dolls, even their dolly's get matching nighties!!!

And that's the way it is...................................

My Grandma used to make us clothes when she came to visit, believe me I still remember what she made me....that was decades ago.

  16. I'm so happy there are grandmas left who sew for their grandkids...I must confess I don't. Oh extremely simple things that require a straight seam :) but anything complicated and I head for the hills with my computer and Kindle!!! I had a friend in AZ who pretty much made all her g'daughters clothes and here's you with these fantastic pjs for the g'kids and the girls dolls...you're special Muffy!!! Merry Christmas :D
