The Crazies Continue

I was just finishing up feeding the grands breakfast, and getting the daily laundry load started when The Mister came riding in on his ATV with a goat following him.

OMG ......What next?????????    Try to visualize two dogs barking up a storm, and chasing the poor goat all around the yard.  The goat running up the deck stairs and almost getting into the cottage, and five kids squealing with delight!!!  Confusion Maximus!!!

Once we got our wits about us, we realized it had a pretty blue collar, indicating it was someone's pet.  The Mister went to one of the neighbors to see if she knew who the goat belonged to.

The owner was notified and would be able to pick up her pet later in the day.    We found a goat proof leash, and tied the goat to a tree.

The kids fed him leaves and got him a container of water.  The grands were assured the goat would be out of harm's way and taken care of until the owner could come by.

In the mean time there were no "Grandma Kin I's" for quite some time, as the goat kept the grands entertained for the rest of the morning!!

I think this grand thought she was going to be charged.

After lunch we went tubing and when we returned the goat had been picked up.

And that's the way it is.........................................

  6. When your Grands get older and have their own kids...they will reminisce about the day the goat came to visit.

  11. When I was a teenager a goat got loose from his leash and chased me up the steps of a cousin's porch. I managed to get inside the house and close the door before the goat reached me! The grandchildren look like they enjoyed their new friend. I like the picture of the goat following Mister to the neighbor's house.
