Black Beauty
We haven't seen a black squirrel at our feeder since the middle of last summer. I though perhaps someone shot her. Today she appeared. Her coat is so shiny, but the picture doesn't do her justice. Her tail is red, I don't know if it will turn black or not. The one at our feeder last summer had a black tail.
And that's the way it is..............................

ReplyDeleteWe have both black and grey squirrels here . The birds and them seem to share the food with no problem I have a flat feeder for the squirrels and a bowl out , keeps them off the feeders . Nice photos . Have a good day !

ReplyDeleteWe have gray squirrels and red squirrels around here--and the occasional flying squirrel when camping in the woods. I do remember seeing black squirrels when we were travelling out west, though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little squirrel. I used to love to watch them go from tree to tree when we lived in Missouri. I would get so mad at them though when they would get into the bird feed and steal it.
ReplyDeleteOh, how neat,I have never seen a black one. How pretty he is. I did see one once that had white markings.

ReplyDeleteI used to see black squirrels all the time where I used to live (14 miles from where I live now) but haven't seen any at all around here.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
