The Neighbor's Lilacs


Twenty plus years ago our neighbors retired and moved to the northwoods.  That first spring, they planted a Lilac bush. 

 And, I am so glad they did!!!



Our neighborhood smells wonderful!!



They told me to take all I want, so I did!


I will enjoy the beautiful scent of Lilacs for a few days, thanks to our generous neighbors.  




And that's the way it is...................

    i have never seen them or smelled them, these are gorgeous... lucky you. i love cut flowers in the house.

    I do love the scent of lilacs. Ours are just gone by. There are so many cultivars now, that you can make them last for a long time if you know what to plant.

    I wish there was smell-o-vision on my computer! I found a nice bush on the refuge this afternoon that isn't quite ready to pick. I think I'll cut me a bouquet on Sunday. :)
