This morning we again woke up to more snow!!! When will it end?
We have been back from Arizona for almost a month. And it has been mostly dark and dreary and SNOWY since we've been home. Yesterday, the snow melted a little bit, then this morning we woke up to this.....
The forecast says 70's by next week. I'm wondering if they are making that up... just to give every one hope!!!
On the brighter side, I did get some neat photos of Yellow Rumped Warblers. They are migrating north from Mexico. According to my bird book, they reside a little farther north of here. Perhaps some will stay for the summer.
And that's the way it is.
Brrrrrrrr.....poor birdies!
ReplyDeleteI never knew yellow rumps would visit a suet block. Good thing they are the hardiest of the warblers!
ReplyDeleteOh Muffy, I envy that weather! It is getting so warm here and it makes me really miserable. If you get a chance, send some this way, please!
ReplyDeleteme thinks next year you should stay in AZ for another month. yowsa not snow the end of April...
ReplyDeleteMy husband dragged all the deck furniture out yesterday (without washing any of it. grr) Based on past experience, this means snow in the next day or so. But I sure hope not.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW ! I cant believe you guys still are getting snow . Looks pretty though but I do hope spring shows up there and soon for you ! I will try and send some spring your way ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeletehere too, but the sun shines bright today, and SPRING IS COMING. We pulled taps and the maple syrup is in jars. It's getting muddy out...soooo, my dear, there IS hope.
ReplyDeletePatience, a difficult thing for me too.
BlessYa
the warblers are sweet, even in the snow! gosh!
ReplyDeletei did not "giggle" about your snowey dilemia!! my warbler (i only have one) is still here and poses beautifully for pictures!!
ReplyDeleteit's 70 degrees here, i am sending you a big, warm, jersey hug!!
I saw one of these for the first time ever yesterday. I had no idea what it was. Looking forward to the snow melting here, too.
ReplyDeleteMuffy you must miss the warmth of Arizona. Cold slow to spring here as well...... Snow flakes in the air yesterday as well... Stay warm...Shivering along with you.
ReplyDeleteYou left Arizona too soon! I like snow in small doses from the comfort of a big chair next to a picture window. Hope you see some sun soon. Today is in the upper 60s and my garden is beginning to show green...lettuce, carrots, onions, and tomatoes have all ped through the ground. We've already harvested a few radishes that were volunteers from last years planting.
ReplyDeleteI think another month in Arizona next year might be a good idea! Can't believe you've still got snow!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel, I thought that last huge snow fall we had would never melt and go away. Now instead of snow we have rain. The sun is shining today but not warm. I know what is going to happen, it is going to turn off really hot all of a sudden. Love the Warblers.
ReplyDeleteOk now I am beginning to feel sorry for you....hurry up Spring!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a couple inches of new snow yesterday too, but I think most of that has melted, although there is still lots of snow on the ground. I wish our predictions were for the 70's--instead it might hit the 40s. Spring is very reluctant this year! We get the yellow rumped warblers here in the summer, but so far none have shone their pretty little rumps.
ReplyDeleteMethinks you came home toooo soon. Much too soon. Those 70s you might get next week? They are NOT going to feel like 70s, that's for sure,
ReplyDeleteThey are so very pretty, and the snow makes them even brighter.
ReplyDeleteWe get heat, then frost, then warmth, and wind...
Mixed up seasons.

ReplyDeletePretty birds. You need some warm up SOON!
ReplyDeleteI've been so far behind I hadn't realized you were home again! So happy you are back...but what weather! Hopefully it will all melt soon.

Loretta XO
