Its a rare day when...

.....a semi comes down our little dead end road !!

We do a lot of shopping on the internet.  Those parcels are usually brought to us via U.S. Mail or UPS.  This is a first.

It took the driver a couple of tries to get his rig turned on to our private narrow road.
Once he did, he didn't have a problem backing up in our yard.

and getting as close to our garage as he could.

He used the lift to get our parcel from the truck level down to the garage.

By now you must be curious as to what the Mister ordered this time.  Well let me tell you.

Our garage is 30x50!!  Now that is a big building, but not big enough!!  When we have our pontoon, atv's on a four place trailer, riding lawn mower, a car and a truck, plus lots of miscellaneous stuff, we can hardly squeeze through to the back.

The Mister has been doing some research and asking around, and has found out these canvas type portable garages hold up well during the winter.  Those who have them, report the snow slides off the slanted roof, they don't crack or tear with the extreme cold.  So he went online and bought one. His intention is to put it behind our garage and store the pontoon in there.
So for the next few days I probably won't see much of him, as I'm sure he'll be out in the garage assembling his 'new' garage.

This is an internet photo of what our pontoon storage center will look like!!!

And that's the way it is..........................

  3. i am still trying to figure out how he got that big truck down the lane and to the door.. thanks for the photo, i was about to ask for one. these are a common site here, they use them for boats and even for second cars. the two that are on our street have been there many years and still look great. of course we don't have snow here, but we do have heavy duty rains.

  8. Good storage is important for expensive vehicles and other "toys". That was really an impressive feat, getting that semi in place there.

  10. I trust that this will be a good choice for you. I have wondered about getting one for my car,but would have no proper place to put it.

  15. Sounds like a good option for you! I'm just glad I won't be out there trying to put it together!! Pontoon boats are just the best fun.

  16. That looks like a good solution to the storage challenge. We have a constant 'battle' trying to keep our 30x40 shed/workshop organized. Funny how legless 'things' seem to grow legs to make their way there.

Hope the Mister has fun putting this together while you get your knee back in shape.

  17. What a simply fabulous garage! I want it! And I don't think I would require any extra ones! Your header photo of the railroad tracks is really good - gets the mind to wandering ...
