Counting My Blessings

As we look forward to whatever the new year has in store for us,  I think it is very important to also look backwards and count our blessings.
2012 was very good to us.
We have our health, our family, and everything we need.
This morning as I went out the door to get this shot of the first sunrise for 2013,
I realized how lucky I am.

No more:
cold hands and feet
shoveling
bundling up to go out doors
driving on ice
pushing shopping carts through snow
looking out frosted windows

More of:
warmth
good friends
happy hours
hot tubs
flowers in January
green

And that's the way it is................

  3. We both have a great deal to be grateful for. I spent both yesterday and this morning on the beach--76 degrees, sunshine, blue sky, and greeting so many old friends who have all arrived in the last few days.
