One highlight of these dark dreary days is the newest guest at our bird feeder:
I have never had a Cardinal at the feeders---ever. Oh the excitement to see this little guy! He sure added some brightness to the dreariness. My only wish was I had my good camera. The company said any day now. I sent it in mid-September!!!
Today's project is to make Egg Rolls for our weekly Sunday Packer Party. I'll let you know how that goes!!!
My heart goes out to those on the East Coast. Life will never be the same for those families.

ReplyDeleteIt will all happen before you know it. We had cardinals the other day, too. We have them around all summer. I really enjoy them. We also had bluebirds on the deck and one was trying to figure out the feeder. Funny to watch.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been given the okay yet to set up bird feeders at this refuge. Some refuges allow it and some don't. I miss seeing my feathered friends close up. :)

Those are great shots of that beautiful cardinal! They are my favorite bird and I love seeing them under our cranberry bush!

ReplyDeleteYou are SO lucky. I have only seen the Cardinals once at my feeders. My daughter has them in EC. Have a great trip and enjoy it. Do you stick around til after the holidays? Whenever you leave, travel safe. At least you will get to leave the icy air behind.
