Worth the Wait

We're a little layed  back here in Northern Wisconsin!!!   Some folks celebrated the Fourth last weekend, or on the Fourth, and a few this weekend.  Last night the Northwoods Inn, in Pickerel had the most beautiful fireworks display I have seen for a long time!  The Mister and I went over about 8:30, and had a couple of drinks while waiting for dusk.  We enjoyed their outdoor garden and waterfalls.

When dusk finally arrived, the action began.  Let me tell you, for a private individual to put on a show as the owners of the Northwoods Inn did, took a quite a 'chunk of change'.  The pyro-tech's began at 9:45pm and ended around 11:30.  There were none of those filler 'bombs' as they are called.

We were right up close and it felt if I could reach high enough I could touch them.   I couldn't snap fast enough to capture all, here are some of my best shots!!!

And that's the way it is....................................

  5. Didn't get to see ours this year (here in S.E. WI) . They were halted shortly after starting because they started a grass fire. Your photos are very nice.

  7. Wow, that was a long show and I hate those filler bombs too. Thanks for the great shots, they look like exotic flowers. We didn't have a show due to drought so this was fun for me. Oooh, aaaah.
