Humming Bird Feeder

This little wasp was pretty nasty all day, thinking the Humming Bird feeder belonged to him.   Every time a Humming Bird approached the feeder, Mr. Wasp attacked until they flew away.

While the wasp was chasing another bird, this one zoomed in.  And while I was taking pictures the 'hummers' were buzzing around my head, and thought my ear had syrup in it!!!

Finally this little gal had a chance to eat:

Doesn't she have pretty eyes?

The Ground's Keeper was totally unaware of what was going on over head!!!

And that's the way it is.....................................

  4. you sure take some great shots, love them all. I have a hornet catcher...a little sugar water and he cannot get out, then he's a gonner due to no escape. Love that thing. Works for flies too

  14. We had to take our feeder down because it was attracting too many wasps. We have an infestation this year.

  16. Amazing shots. I usually just get a blur. I have noticed a bunch of wasps also. So far, the wasps and the hummers seem to co-exist fairly well.

  17. I hate wasps..do those bee guards work? Someone said something about vaseline on their feeders helped to cut down on bees/wasps. I would have kilt that guy..I am heartless when it comes to wasps.
