Looks are deceiving

It looks like I'm going somewhere fun!!

I would like to dream that we are taking a few days to go farther north to view all the fall colors.  Unfortunately, that is not the case.

I'm packed to go south to the hospital where I will have knee replacement surgery!!
It will probably be eight to ten days before I can return  home.  We live about two and a half hours from this particular hospital.  I will stay three days at the hospital, and get re-hab started.  From there they will transport me to a Rehabilitation Center for five to seven days.

I am ready for the surgery and hope it all goes well.  I am really tired of the pain in my knee with every step I take.
I will keep you posted as to what this adventure brings!!!

And that's the way it is................

  4. Are you going to the Mayo Clinic? If it's anything like my hip replacement, the relief from pain is well worth it! Best wishes to you.

  9. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had both knees replaced at the same time, and I would do it again in a heart beat. Have had no trouble at all since then.

  16. My friend had knee replacement on July 10th, and by now she's walking/running, kneeling, and everything in between. She's so happy she did it! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you have the same success.

  18. Will be praying that the surgery goes smoothly, recovery is speedy and that pain is no longer in your vocabulary. I had a friend get both done at 80 and she scooted around quite nicely, pain free till she passed this year at 99. Her advice was to be faithful with the therapy. Please let us know how you are doing.
