I'm Missing It

Nothing fires me up more than a good old fashioned snow storm.  That was northern Wisconsin's weather today.

Stuck here in Arizona, all I could do was go from internet TV Station to TV Station to find out what was going on back home.  Forest County's court house closed for business.  Schools were closed, and I even heard that tow trucks were getting stuck in Oneida County.  I am missing the  record snow storm of the season .  According to my friends on Facebook they are looking at 20 - 23 inches of snow.  We have plenty of insurance for snow removal.  We own:  many shovels, a little snow buster (as I call it) good for clearing the deck,  a pretty good size snow blower, and a plow attached to the ATV.  If we still can't get out, we call the guy with the truck to plow us out.
Today, between checking travel and weather reports from home, I just sat in the Arizona sunshine and talked about what was going on at home.   Its a tough job, but somebody has to do it!!!

And that's the way it is....................................

  1. Oh my! It's a good thing there are different strokes for different folks. I am overjoyed not to have to deal with such a severe snow storm. :)

  4. OK, now I know! You are still away! See, I have been wondering... Were you still away and posting pics? Or were you home, and posting away-pics? :-)

I'm glad you are enjoying, where you are.

We too have a Narnia-In-Winter view out our windows today. But nothing like the amount, they are getting in your home neck of the woods. :-) But beautiful, though.

    Happy March!

  6. The two feet of snow we got yesterday was so wet and windy, so drifts besides the amount, and hard to move, well, you know. Believe me, I'd much rather be you basking in the sunshine, sharing fish with the neighbors, flea markets, my, would love that too, but I agree about the cactus pear. They are an acquired taste, aren't they. I'd have to be drunk and unable to remove a smile. If you were here, you would be on one last trail ride in your sleds. EEEEEEEEEEya!

  7. Nothing like sitting with a big cup of hot chocolate and watching the snow . . . on television on your back porch when the temperature is in the upper 60s. ;^)

  8. Brrrr! We had high 50s and some 60s today plus sunshine. Right now I am enjoying a fire in our fireplace. Guess you can tell I am not a snow gal.
